Emer-G-Med regional operations manager Kyle van Reenen said they responded to a call from a shopping centre in Centurion concerning reports of a stabbing incident.
Due to the nature of the injuries, the victim was airlifted by a NetCare911helicopter.
“On arrival on scene, a male patient, in his 40s, was found with multiple stab wounds all over his body.
“It is believed that the patient was rushed to a doctor’s room by his wife after he was assaulted and robbed while jogging in the area,” said Van Reenen.
The patient was found to be in a critical condition and was stabilized on scene by emergency care practitioners.
