As already stated, this plant, part of God's unique acts of creation, possesses extraordinary qualities. On Monday we referred to the fact that the plant neutralizes the impurity from the atmosphere.
The leaves of the plant have medicinal qualities. Juiced leaves are used as an antiseptic and also to soothe skin ailments such as pimples, rashes, insect stings and sunburn. I wonder how many wholesome qualities are not hidden in nature that we are not even aware of yet.
Christians are under command. The command comes from God having total claim on our lives. We are and will be deployed in this world to witness the redemptive and atoning work of Jesus. The Gospel, God's Good News, is healing. It soothes tired and exhausted people, it brings perspective and meaning, it points the way and gives wisdom.
Ons almal het al geworstel met ʼn onaangenaamheid waarvan ons net nie kan ontslae raak nie. Breek gerus ʼn blaar van die spekboom af en drup die sap op jou wond en beleef God se goedheid in die natuur.
God se genesing is tasbaar in die Bybel. Sy Woord is die Waarheid en kan nie teleurstel nie.
“Kom tot die Heer met al jouverdriet,” sing die bekende Halleluja-lied.
Moet egter nie die wonder vanGoddelike genesing vir jouself hou nie.
Deel dit met die stukkende ensukkelende mense wat jou lewenspad kruis.
