Christian Steinman (26) woke to three armed men in his home, pointing a gun at his face.
According to a distraught Steinman, the men tied him to his bed and fled with several items such as a TV, cellphones, tablet and laptop.
“The armed men gained access through Steinman’s bathroom by breaking off the aluminium burglar bars.
“They tried to exit by using the garage and managed to escape,” he said.
Steinman was alone at the time of the robbery.
A neighbour informed Silverton police of the incident.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mculu said they received a call-out to the scene at around 07:00.
“The incident occurred at around 04:00 at a residential complex in Equestria, Mike’s Place.
“A case of house robbery was opened. We suspect that the perpetrators fled the scene on foot,” said Mculu.
