Elon Musk is unusual although in this matter, he has used his "unusualness" to achieve unimaginable power. If you ask any of us, we would tell you he is nothing short of a super hero.

Elon allocates his resources to engineering and management. Hoes does he do this?

It's rather simple. It's a method called Timeboxing

What is Timeboxing? This is the act of creating small boxes of time and then assigning a certain amount of these to a task. A great example would be Elon Musk. He uses a timebox of 5 minutes and then decides how many of these will be required to complete a particular task, and this is then added to his schedule. Some employees can wait up to a week to a schedule.

Although, his work ethic takes a toll on his personal life.

You spend 100 hours a week hustling between jobs and the issues and circumstances that develop through this factor of an unbalanced lifestyle that arises, you will never have the time to equally spend with your family. This causes rips and tides in the mutual relations between the members.


Elon does however show immense strength. Anybody sane in his position would simply quit. People need to acknowledge the sacrifice he is making to leave a ripple in the tide.

Why are we stalking celebrities?

Lets not forget to give credit to his team. Who of many, worked just as long as Elon. They all worked together to achieve common goals.

The first barrier one hits is ~ Biological The pain of operating a lot of hours in a day does not go up linearly with time. It goes up exponentially with time. Elon Musk admits this himself, however he keeps going. For a standard person, this is often not impossible but it's definitely extraordinarily difficult. you're not simply testing your physical capabilities, but additionally mental capabilities, emotional capabilities to handle stress for those long hours, and more than that you are separating yourself from friends and family.

His rule is to stay calm and not let others get stressed out. When one person in the team panics, many others panic. It is very important to keep a very cool temperament when stressful situations arise. If a soccer team coordinates well, while keeping a cool temperament, they can win a match with one fewer player. But if one player demoralizes the whole team, they would never win a match.
